  • Florida Panthers/ BBT Center (Arena Operating Company)

    The Florida Panthers is Broward County’s only major league professional sports team. The company also operates the County owned BBT Center. This representation has involved several significant contract amendments over the years with Broward County as owner of the BBT Center, that have included re-financings, capital improvements, and restructuring of financial terms. Representation has also included resolving issues with the City of Sunrise where the Arena is located.

  • GFC Cranes

    GFC and its highly specialized employees have maintained the twelve gantry cranes in Port Everglades that enable the Port to move containers on a 24-hour basis. Work has involved successful contract awards, extensions, amendments and issues that may arise with the County.

  • First Lauderdale Investments

    This company has been a significant development player in Fort Lauderdale for many years. This representation has involved numerous land use approvals for this developer. Including multiple approvals for Harbor Shoppes Commercial Development, Blu Apartments, Harbor Park Apartments, among others.

  • American Ambulance Service, Inc

    American has operated Ambulances in Broward County since the 1970s. The ambulance business has transitioned from first responders to inter-facility transport services. This business is regulated by Broward County and representation has included extensions of business approval to operate in Broward County.

Public Sector

  • Fort Lauderdale Downtown Development Authority

    This special taxing district was created in the 1960’s to combat blight in the Downtown and promote redevelopment activities and undertake infrastructure projects. The agency led the effort and put together the coalition to build the Fort Lauderdale WAVE streetcar. Other projects spearheaded by the agency include the Performing Arts Center, Downtown Library, Downtown Museum, the Downtown Concurrency Exception Area, Security Ambassador Program, New Federal Courthouse, and the Regional Activity Center land use amendments. Representation includes all legal matters and involves working with Federal, State, County and City officials concerning applicable projects.

  • Broward County Children’s Services Council

    This special taxing district is an outcome-based agency that is charged with improving the lives of children in Broward County in a comprehensive manner on a county-wide basis. John M.
